Stan Houston of Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Supply and Equipment Sales Representative to join our team. Stan Houston has 6 locations throughout the midwest and is highly regarded in the field of industrial, manufacturing, construction supplies, equipment and rentals.
Summary of Duties and Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for cultivating and managing customer relationships
- Follow sales leads and schedule appointments with prospective customers
- Make cold calls to prospective customers
- Follow up with customers and provide solutions
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills along with knowledge of excellent selling practices and techniques
- Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identify product applications and introduce new products/services
- Prepare quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and close transactions
- Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers
- Partner with supplier representatives to sell in new products that will enhance customer performance
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess general knowledge of a variety of industrial/manufacturing products and equipment
- Become familiar with customer base
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and maintain confidentiality
- Calculate pricing, percentages, expenses and profit margins
- Able to read and interpret instructions and numerical contract information
- Utilize sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
- Assist customers in the credit application process
- Connect with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
- Demonstrated, basic skills in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications

- Prioritize and plan work activities, manage competing demands and use time efficiently
- Grow sales and gross profit in your territory by developing existing customers & converting new business
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality; apply common sense, understanding to handle problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
- Adapt to changes in the work environment; manage frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Establish dependability; consistently at work and on time; follow instructions; respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.

- Valid driver’s license – MVR will be verified
