Position Summary: The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical material and services are involved. They represent the technical aspects of the product and propose how these aspects can benefit the customer and must have a strong technical understanding of the complexities of what the company supplies along with excellent sales skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand material needs and product requirements

2) Prepare and deliver presentations and other technical documentation that explain products and services to customers

3) Collaborate with sales teams to communicate products, services and client needs

4) Ensures that customers needs are met, which may include product modifications

5) Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes

6) Provides support to customers and resolves customer problems: (which will include various manufacturing methods (molding, extrusion, die cut, fabrication, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Individual must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology. Need to be proficient in MS Office products, working knowledge of AutoCAD, and capable of interpreting and creating blue prints. The ability to professionally communicate with internal and external customers on a daily basis via video conference, phone and email. Travel will be required.
