Full description of the position

Description:
The key job function of the Account Manager is to champion our core values of exceptional customer focus. They are expected to take the lead on customer‐facing interactions with all level of contacts in the customer’s organization. The account manager has hybrid responsibilities in areas of sales, customer service, sales administration and customer support. The key outcome of the role is to increase customer value through selling and engagement efforts.
Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with external customers.
  • Maintain a patterned contact plan with the customers – working to up sell and cross sell.
  • Conduct sales calls directly at customer locations, host and perform site tours, complete e-mail and phone engagement daily.
  • Leverage the CRM system (Autotask) to capture all customer interactions.
  • Understand the loyalty and levels of satisfaction with each customer.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and all internal functions, network operations center (NOC), sales engineering and finance and customer support.
  • Review monthly customer invoicing and work to coordinate resolution with the proper internal functions of the business.
  • Develop plans and recommendations to strengthen the customer experience across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Solid multi‐tasking, solution design and problem resolution abilities.
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients.
  • 1+ years sales engineering and/or professional services experience preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience with various computer software and systems.
  • 2+ years’ experience with various storage, computer or security systems.
  • Network infrastructure experience is a plus.
  • Self‐starter and quick learner with desire to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (technology, marketing, sales, communications.

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of IT or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
