Job Summary:
Successful candidates will be responsible for meeting or exceeding company sales and profits through effective management of territory managers and clinical education specialists, as a leader, this executive will create and manage business plans in tactical support of the business strategy. Hires, directs, leads, and manages their assigned US sales function including all activities related to the targeted cardiovascular markets. Participate with marketing regarding effective utilization and execution of marketing collateral materials, sales plans, and customer education and training programs.
Essential Functions:
- Proven success in managing a sales team
- Success in leading change management within the US
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, motivate, review, and manage sales tthe eam to assure the successful achievement of sales revenue and financial objectives
- Accountable for performance to the budget including revenue and operational expense targets and key performance measures for sales team
- Actively assist in planning and participating in trade shows, conferences, conventions, medical meetings, seminars, and workshops. Coordinate and plan participation in customer-specific events
- Experience working with many different hospital departments in implementing new technology
- Experience in C Suite relationship building and stakeholder influencing
- Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships in organizations (internal and external)
- Leadership – hiring and developing people.
- Track record of successful collaboration with marketing for product launches and improvement strategies
- Provides tactical direction to sales organization in support of strategic plans
- Establish annual sales forecasts, objectives and corresponding action plans by region and territory that will meet company plan and marketing objectives
- Accountable for developing and staying within approved spending budgets
- Responsible for hiring, training, appraisal system, personnel development, and appropriate terminations when necessary
- Supports the new hire and follow-on training programs with supportive and on the message field coaching
- In concert with the US Sales Director coach and train to full understanding of company objectives, compensation, and incentive plan and motivate sales staff
- Develop, maintain, and communicate appropriate performance measurement systems
- Maintains forecasts for product groups by territory and region
- ultimately responsible for all administrative tasks relative to the sales force
- Is responsible for developing and maintaining management book that includes at a minimum organization chart, job descriptions, sales plan, commission plans, quotas of key reports, expense guidelines and budgets
- Spends 80% of time in field with sales personnel
- Conducts and directs content of regional sales meeting to meet business strategy
Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of regional sales management experience
- Experience with new product launches and tactical sales execution
- Demonstrated success related to implementation of marketing and sales strategies
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proven effective influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal, written & presentation skills
- Cardiac sales experience highly desirable
- Self-starter, self-motivated
- Proven team player
- Ability to travel frequently
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree desirable, or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales.
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000-170,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
