Full description of the position

Position Overview:



YOTEL is hiring a Sales Manager to join our team. This person is sociable and confident with our crew and our guests and likes to be busy, always looking for the next task or goal to achieve.


Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the department in clerical duties that includes answering and directing incoming phone calls and providing general information to clients to follow-up on leads by providing centric service standards.

. Oversee the administrative duties for the hotel’s Sale and executive office as required

. Prepare proposal, confirmations, thank you cards, rooming list, function information and cover

sheets.

. Ensure group deposits are received as per the contracts and prepare the turnover reports to

be disseminated internally.

. Process group commission check request

. Order VIP complimentary items.

. Secure new business and maintain repeat group bookings. (Special consideration will be given to candidates with S.M.E.R.F. experience)

. Assist in helping to grow hotel’s segment of negotiated corporate, business transient accounts

by vertical market assignment.

  • Represent brand at industry tradeshows, uncovering new business.
  • Participate in feeder city trips local events.
  • Conducts tours, presentations and represents YOTEL and assist team as needed.
  • Partner with team to ensure all group needs are met, encouraging repeat business.
  • Collaborate to create promotions for specific accounts and time periods.
  • Assist with annual group budget process.
  • Fluent with competitive set, ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within marketplace.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Uncover new companies moving to South Florida for potential partnership.
  • Actively sells and prospects 100% of the time; flexible hours and travel required.
  • Innovative, brainstorming for new ways to uncover and capture business.
  • Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, room night, and ADR targets.
  • Pursues membership & networking in organizations outside of traditional hotel model.
  • Ensures contractual agreements are executed in a timely, and error-free manner.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt with dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conducts one-self in a professional, pleasant and energetic manner.
  • Upholds the highest standards of YOTEL and business culture.
  • Maintains a friendly & cohesive work environment with crew, internal departments & guests.
