Full description of the position

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop strong relationships with buyers of major customer accounts (nation-wide department chain stores) for new sales, existing purchase orders and account management.
• Organize and prepare line sheets, samples and materials for sales presentations.
• Set up and conduct in-person and virtual showroom meetings with buyers in New York Showroom
• Complete competitive market research; and present ideas in an organized and comprehensive manner
• Work closely with product development, production and sourcing departments.
• Maintain detailed account recaps/matrix.
• Merchandising

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required. Fashion merchandising/marketing, business, arts/design or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Sales/Marketing/Textile Business is a must
• Working knowledge of home textiles (bedding, pillows, table/kitchen linen), fabrics, textile printing methods and embroideries
• Must be a versatile, self-motivated, innovative individual who pays close attention to detail
• Superior communication skills and presentation skills
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills
• Must work well independently as well as with a group
• Proficient in MS Office suite; excellent Excel skills
• Eager to remain up to speed on design trends in consumer home market
• Passion to be the brand ambassador, own the brand and instill that passion in others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
