JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing/Sales Representative is responsible for spending a significant amount of time on marketing initiatives, i.e.., building relationships with the physician referral base, meeting with local physicians and their staffs (office managers, administrators, schedulers, nurses) and others who direct where referrals go for outpatient imaging, and the establishment of a positive community presence for the Center.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 1. Achieve/exceed volume and net revenue budgeta. Develop relationship with local and area physicians’ offices and other referral sources in order to maintain and develop new volume and revenue sources with physicians and managed care groupsb. Establish a territory to call on and maintain a customer databasec. Develop promotions for local markets to increase revenue2. Sales/marketing responsibilitiesa. Call on referring physician offices to promote center services and evaluate their growing needs to effectively implement new services as appropriateb. Analyze new service/product opportunities for assigned market area and make recommendations to the Center Manager
  • c. Develop annual marketing plans for the Center and assist the Center Manager in implementing the marketing plan including a budget to maintaind. Work with Marketing Manager to prepare meaningful, concise, professional reports for established reporting periods that will inform management of trends and changes in marketing/referral patterns to assist leadership with decision making needed to address referral improvements (reporting periods include monthly, quarterly, annual, forecast, and budget as well as others as needed)e. Assist Marketing Manager, as needed, with preparation of BOD reportsf. Keep management informed of market pricing information as it relates to usual and customary pricing for the Center based on costs and competition within the marketg. Work in tandem with management to maximize overall opportunities for the Centerh. Develop marketing materials and website, obtain approval for content with manger
  • 3. Market intelligencea. Keep daily records and reports in a database; this includes a daily log and general notes about the particulars of physician’s’ office visitsb. Conduct market research to determine the status of each competitor; use that information to inform leadership of potential new sites, opportunities, and relationships4. Establish a superior image in the marketa. Determine how the referring physician’s offices perceive the center; solicit feedback. Determine if imaging center service levels are meeting their needs and creating repeat businessb. Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Marketing or related field, desired and 18 months or 1.5 years Prefer at least two years of experience working in a related health care environment, and experience in consultative sales role
