Where You’ll be Working
The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #2357, located at:
How You’ll Perform the Role
- Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store by managing the credit activities for wholesale and retail customers within established standards for bad debt, past due, days sales outstanding (DSO), and over-limit balances.
- Work with Store Management and the Sales Representatives to sell customers that present special credit problems and manage the accounts to ensure compliance with the program.
- Perform credit investigations and analysis on new and existing accounts, including contacting outside sources for information, to approve credit limits within local authority and recommend or request credit approval for credit limits exceeding local authority from the District Credit Office.
- Process payments to customer accounts and provide accurate reports to management, as documentation of all collection activity, status of accounts, etc.
- Maintain open communication and make personal visits with credit customers to protect future business relationships.

- 18 years of age or older
- Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
- High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED)
- Ability to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Extras to Help you Stand Out – These are not required for you to be eligible to apply.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business-related field
- Prefer experience in Credit and Accounting
- Customer service experience, including problem solving and handling customer complaints
- Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with management staff, and external customers including collection agencies and attorneys
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to speak more than one language: preferably Spanish
