Full description of the position

Summary

The Destination Sales Executive is an individual who has experience in the sales process and operational function of a hotel. This position supports the Sales and Event Sales teams in the planning and execution of client site inspections/events as well as business and account development. You will impact growth in hotel revenues by increasing site conversion and strategically prospecting and developing business opportunities for the sales team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing property support by planning, coordinating and executing site inspections/visits for sales managers and at times, covering sites for those who are on work travel or work in a remote office.
  • Partnering with sales managers & operations team to develop creative aspects and execution of site visits after gathering all important customer data in order to plan appropriately.
  • This position will also uphold and maintain all site inspection SOPs and procedures, understand the property's competitive set and create best practices to differentiate the Hyatt Regency Orlando from the competition during the site visit.
  • Coordinating and planning all Familiarization Tours (FAM) or in-market customer events.
  • Presenting at staff and stand up meetings reporting on site activities, successes and learning opportunities
  • Attending pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs, obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels and overall satisfaction.

The salary range for this position is $70k-$75k

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of hotel sales, event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • Thrive in a high pressure, rewarding team environment desiring to be a hospitality leader
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bring exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent personal presentation skills
  • Excel in bringing creative ideas to life for customer experiences
  • Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to verify that the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative.
  • Possess an understanding of business development, prospecting and soliciting
  • Enjoy computer research and analysis in development new business opportunities
