Job description

The Technology Specialist works alongside the Sales and Service departments to ensure that vehicle owners are provided with adequate support concerning vehicle features, promoting their ownership experience, and troubleshooting any concerns or issues.

Essential Functions:

• Presents vehicle features in a simple and effective manner that ensures customer understanding.
• Maintains a high level of product and technical knowledge, conducting continuous research to maintain product knowledge as new vehicle features are released.
• Maintains and utilizes a resource library that can be used for in-depth information to assist in explanations.
• Demonstrates vehicles features and controls.
• Resolves customer inquiries for vehicle technology issues.
• May train or assist in developing a training program for new associates and as new technology is released.
• Engages with customers who visit the dealership to assist with questions and respond to concerns.
• Oversees deliveries for the sales team ensuring proper information is explained to customer during new vehicle delivery.
• Enrolls customers’ Subscriber connect in a timely manner (daily) to ensure prompt registration for complimentary Enform products & Services.
• Completes Lexus Certification within required time frame.
• May communicate with the Technology Center National Headquarters to resolve customer concerns.

Non - Essential Functions:

• May interact with the Service Department and determines whether vehicles have to go in for service to have any issues resolved prior and post delivery.
• May perform the duties of a Delivery Specialist
• May perform other duties as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Organizes work effectively, prioritizes objectives, and exercises independent judgment.
• Ability to work effectively with data systems and office software on a computer.
• Communicates effectively by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Basic language capabilities such as reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, comprehend and analyze technical manuals, picking up on technical things quickly, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Basic math capabilities such as adding and subtracting two digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
• Basic reasoning capabilities such as applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, and dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
