Job Summary:


STATKING Clinical Services (SCS),
a member of Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3), is a full service CRO providing services related to human clinical trials in support of pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech companies seeking regulatory approval for their products. SCS provides clinical trial management, data management, biostatistical support, programming, clinical study monitoring, medical writing and regulatory support services for our clients. SCS works with clients from pre-IND and pre-IDE through all phases of product development.


As part of GD3, SCS is one of 10 companies within the US. In addition to SCS, these companies are BioBlocks, Comparative Biosciences, Invivotek, Ingenio, Integrated Analytical Solutions, New England Discovery Partners, NexusPharma, PharmOptima, and Venenum. GD3 portfolio companies provide services for HTS and assay development, synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, DMPK/in-vivo pharmacology and safety toxicology, as well as clinical trial services for the regulatory approval of novel drug, medical device, and biotech products.


We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to promote SCS’s portfolio of services to secure new accounts and to grow existing accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. This BDM position would primarily support SCS but would help facilitate business development between and within all GD3 companies.


The successful candidate will join a dynamic management team and will play a critical role in identifying areas of growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify new prospects and business collaboration opportunities by reaching out to decision makers at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
  • The major focus of this position will be companies that are or will soon run human clinical trials
  • Collaborate with the Company’s senior scientific management to perform feasibility assessments and to convert the opportunities into project proposals
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with clients through focused client visits and presentations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction on client issues and needs
  • Contribute to developing and implementing the marketing and sales strategy (e.g., brochures, company presentations, website improvement)
  • Conduct in-depth research using web resources, scientific forums and other lead sources to identify trendsetting ideas and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and current contacts database for accounts (active and targeted); this includes information such as account profiles, individual contact details, opportunities and communications
  • Actively participating at professional meetings and conventions as appropriate


Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in Life Sciences or 5 years of relevant experience working directly with pharmaceutical clients.
  • Experience in Business Development related to human clinical trials.
  • Motivation and ability to expand the existing expertise into new business areas are required.
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and collaborate with scientific management of the Company to develop proposals.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong presentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to interact well with a diverse range of professionals and work effectively in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Travel required. The position can either be home based or at one of GD3’s current sites in the US (OH, NJ, PA, CT, CA or MI).
