Summary

Location: Wisconsin
Work Arrangement: Flexible hours,
Compensation: $48,000 - $125,000+ Loan programs to assist, Residual Commissions, Bonuses, Profit Sharing, Travel Incentives
Insurance License: Property, Casualty, Life and Health or willing to obtain all four lines of authority prior to appointment.

Erie Insurance is very selective as to who we appoint as an Erie Principal Agent. There are only a few openings in your area. We provide marketing assistance, training, and loan programs to assist while you grow your business and potential to earn incentives starting Day 1.

What does Erie look for when appointing a new agent?

We look for local, community-oriented, service-driven agency owners who live and work in their community. While insurance experience and prior business ownership is helpful, they are not required. What type of investment do I need?

Unlike other insurance carriers, we do not have a franchise fee or specific dollar amount of capital to get started. We recommend that you have money to invest in your new venture, however, there is no set dollar amount.

How are agents compensated?

Agents are compensated via commission on both new business and renewal business. Additionally, there are a variety of bonus programs to reward agencies for growth, profitability and performance.

Do I need an insurance license?

Yes, an insurance license (property, casualty, life & health authority) is required to be formally appointed with Erie Insurance Group, however, we welcome you to reach out prior to becoming licensed in your state if you’d like to discuss the opportunity.
