Position Overview
The Associate Director of Account Management will report to the National Director of Account Management. This person will focus on leading, supervising, and mentoring a small team of account managers to achieve renewal, revenue, and retention goals.
This individual will have strong business acumen and insight into the healthcare market from the perspective of behavioral and mental health and connect the solutions we provide to promote well-being in the workplace, specifically with the work and life demands of physicians and other clinicians in healthcare organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small team of account managers while holding them accountable for goals and responsibilities
- Manage and retain an assigned client base consisting of midsize to large organizations by becoming a trusted advisor to key contacts
- Responsible for growing revenue in assigned accounts by building strong relationships and proactively seeking to understand the strategies, dynamics, challenges, goals and needs of the client's business
- Consult, connect and propose VITAL WorkLife solutions, training, and customized consulting engagements to help meet client needs and achieving associated department goals
- Oversee program launch and implementation, communication plans and reporting for all assigned clients
- Conduct regular client meetings to add value to client relationships, grow accounts and proactively identify challenges or issues
- Create new and repeatable strategies and tactics to retain existing business
- Provide strategic client overviews, representing the voice of the client, while using data and business intelligence to identify actionable insights that lead to solution improvements
- Manage client expectations and contribute to a high level of client satisfaction
- Represent the organization in meetings, seminars, conferences, and networking events
- Other duties as assigned such as clinical project work associated with our proven process, budget reviews, and oversight of client satisfaction surveys
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years of experience in account management or related position
- 5+ years of management experience
- Experience utilizing CRM to accurately capture data and curate business insights and recommendations for clients.
- Experience supporting healthcare delivery organizations, interacting with key decision-makers and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry is a plus

- Self-starter who demonstrates strategic thinking to develop, grow and retain assigned accounts while having deep knowledge of healthcare providers, healthcare institutions and the general healthcare industry
- Ability to make connections and build trust with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Highly articulate with the ability to demonstrate value and trust in VITAL WorkLife's solutions
- Outstanding communication skills, negotiation skills, and strong business acumen
- Effective client-facing speaking and presentation skills to C-suite, leaders and employees to educate, persuade and sell complex solutions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Creative and resourceful; ability to help VITAL WorkLife meet organizational goals through process improvements and creative problem solving
