Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, the Business Development Manager is responsible for demand creation for ER Wagner. Significant levels of engagement in tactical and strategic business development activities that will drive growth and profitability for all market segments of ER Wagner. Facilitate launch / fulfill new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Establish, implement and maintain business development activities to achieve strategic business initiatives.
2. Provide consistent and accurate annual (or as requested) forecasting of revenue and bookings including funnel activities.
3. Partner with the Sales Operations Manager to provide strategic management direction to the Business Development Representatives.
4. Develop and implement promotional programs to increase sales and market share in served markets as well as potential growth areas.
5. Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve customer problems.
6. Actively partner with cross-functional areas including engineering and development teams
7. Facilitate customer launch with Sales, Engineering, Production, Finance, and Customer Service.
8. Travels to assigned territory as needed to assist in territory development.
9. Manages all territory activities including inside sales service activities, and local sales representatives as needed.
10. Travels to and attends trade shows.

Qualifications
· Education: B.S Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of industry sales experience
· Experience, drive, and demonstrated success in building relationships
· Ability & willingness to travel nationally
· Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
o Direct selling experience relative to components into OEM’s in industrial markets.
o Customer Service/Distribution experience.
o Communication skills both oral and written.
o Demonstrated ability/aptitude to connect quickly with new faces in new places.
o Clerical background (Typing, MS Office). Computer skills.
o Employee is to be an independent thinker and should be able to problem solve.
o Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while insuring all are completed as required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
