Primary Objective: Partners with Vice President of Global Sales to create and implement effective sales strategy. Will actively lead New Business Development managers in achievement of corporate sales objectives. In addition to leading the OEM team, the Manager will secure new business agreements, develop relationship, and grow account to achieve and/or exceed revenue forecast targets.
Essential Job Functions:
- Actively provide sale leadership to the OEM sales personnel by alignment towards Corporate and Strategic Initiatives.
- Develop competencies and processes required to build and maintain a high-performance sales organization to efficiently achieve business objectives, including sales forecast, sales process structure, sales reporting and metrics, budget, compensation programs and incentive plans.
- Provide supervision through field support, observation, and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Drive sales & gross margin expansion
- Drive consumable revenue streams
- Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and account acquisition forecast and goals.
- Provide strategic insight to future state within current and potential OEM markets.
- Proactively identify changes in healthcare, delivery systems, and competitive pressures and develop/adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Identify and attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.
- Facilitate senior level interactions with partners and potential partners in support of revenue growth and strategic alignment
- Proactively identify changes in OEM market and develop/adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Ensure effective orientation, training, development and retention of sales team members and OEM partners.
- Partner with Marketing to identify and role out new product opportunities, product enhancement opportunities, and revenue generating marketing campaigns.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments to address key business issues and drive opportunities.
- Guide on the creation for monetization of products and technologies
- Align Marketing with future Voice of the Customer/Design Input requirements
- Manage complex contract negotiations with partners, working with legal counsel as required.
- Overall accountability for setting up new business agreements and growing account revenue.
- Interact with customer for the purpose of:
- Marketing and selling Nonin products.
- Evaluating performance and new opportunities with customer.
- Training customer on Nonin products.
- Negotiating agreements and writing MOU and contracts.
- Sales planning and forecasting.
- Attend tradeshows for the purpose of:
- Evaluate activities, strategies and strengths of the competition.
- Collect other marketing information.
- Evaluate the success and perception of Nonin products.
- Maintain customer files, including contact plans and org charts.
- Develop and maintain systems for lead generation.
- Provide sales input for strategic planning.
- Assist in expense budget preparations for area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience in medical sales
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- International sales or distributor management experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high-performance sales team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans.
- Proven business analysis and judgment and the ability to proactively manage business revenue to meet objectives.
- Relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Solid understanding of healthcare and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to effectively present information to all levels including management.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Business related computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sales in Sleep, Homecare, EMS, Telehealth, and Respiratory markets.
- Technical experience/education.
- Fluency in a second language.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel 30-50% of the time
- Sit, and/or sit for 8 hours/day
