Overview
Develops and maintains client and vendor relationships, tracks regional Food Service channel new opportunities and emerging trends, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships. Works with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management. Ensures business growth strategies are met. This position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by the organization. Responsible for business unit revenue, expenses, pricing, and profitability, as well as account receivable accountability. Sales area covers Food Service and Industrial Accounts. Develops new business by analyzing account potential, initiating, developing, and closing sales cycle. Collaborates with Sigma Core team, client managers and sales associates to ensure successful execution of negotiations. Increases profitability by identifying and selling to prospects, by maintaining relationships with clients associates, and by designing and executing operational efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities
- Develops sales and marketing strategies to support Food Service business development. (Nationwide scope, traveling ~50% of the time).
- Responsible for achieving EBITDA Goals
- Handling Pricing definition and promotional strategy for Food Service Channel
- Manage Food Service and Industrial accounts, including Manages cross-dock service 3rd party for product delivery; manages relation with clients Replenishment Manager to process POs; manages any relation need to keep a healthy client Score Card
- Manages Co-packed opportunities, including working R&D to develop new skus
- Attend and promote product in Customer Food shows
- Co-responsible for Account Receivables
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Works with multiple clients Director, Procurement Directors to discuss and prioritize work initiatives.
- Gives up-to-date information relating to customer opportunities.
- Establishes relationships with clients and provides high standard of customer service continually.
- Relies on in-depth knowledge of business to allow business to grow. Evaluate the current performance of the business and think about ways in which it should be changed in order for it to reach its full potential
- Coordinates internal resources and builds third parties/vendors relationships for the execution of projects
- Develops a detailed project plan to track progress. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Determines resource requirements and identifies resources with right skills to successfully execute projects.
- Assess potential risks and technical challenges and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Tracks new opportunities and emerging trends, recommends new products and services, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships, writes proposals and plans, and guides long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Develops and coordinates external strategic relationships with key customers, co-packers and vendors.
- Coordinates efforts of Bar S Food Service Team to reach our goals, and makes each one of them accountable for meeting agreed upon milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Business, Management or related field
- Experience in premium products, foodservice channel, ideally plant-based, if not premium categories (organic, healthy living products) or distribution or brokerage firms
- Extrovert, sales experience, result-oriented, independent (able to perform with little guidance) and proactive
- Availability to travel
