Job Title: Relationship Manager

SUMMARY
Provide lending functions in compliance with financial institution policies and procedures. Develop customer relationships to include all deposit products and credit services. Support all company lines of business with referrals and sales opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related area preferred
  • Experience in a financial institution preferred
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of financial institution’s products and services
  • Knowledge of consumer credit structuring, lending practices and customer relationship management
  • Interpersonal skills to positively serve customers in various circumstances
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Must have a sharp business development focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Participate and complete all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Be familiar with bank products and services and look for opportunities to develop new customer relationships and strengthen existing customer relationships using United’s need-based sales approach
  • Interview consumer loan applicants and request specified information for loan applications
  • Accept loan applications
  • Notify applicant of loan decision
  • Order credit reports
  • Recommend and outline loan terms
  • Review, analyze and process consumer lending requests, package consumer loans as necessary in keeping with financial institution policies and procedures
  • Work past dues
  • Work loan exceptions
  • Do criticized asset report
  • Develop and maintain interest rate structure consistent with bank policies
  • Use independent judgment and discretion based on assigned lending authority
  • Stay abreast of current and developing regulations as applicable to the lending function
  • Provide efficient, accurate and high quality service while maintaining good customer relations
  • Correspond with customer, applicants, or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information
  • Support others through mentoring and attending sales and other developmental meetings
  • Attend and serve in community functions, boards, committees as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

This position does not manage employees

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL
This position requires up to 10% travel.
