Full description of the position

POSITION SUMMARY: The PMA/STC/Engine Kit Sales and Business Development Coordinator reports to the PMA/STC Coordinator and is responsible for primarily generating manufacturing sales among current and new customers; operates in compliance with company safety practices; and performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the sale of Company’s PMA/STC products.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales records using the Company contact database, (Sales Force).
  • Research potential customers using publications, internet and other resources.
  • Formulate strategic marketing plans to position the company to capture new business.
  • Develop contact with potential customers via direct contact, phone, e-mail, all means available.
  • Identify emerging global opportunities to take advantage of core competencies.
  • Physically go to customer’s site to represent AAI’s products and capabilities.
  • Understand competitor’s products/services and industry atmosphere.
  • Understand the technical scope of our manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop RFQ’s for potential customers. Communicate with customers regarding quotes and finalize sale of Company PMA/STC products.
  • Manage the financial transactions between the customers and accounting.
  • Assist in the part pricing structure.
  • Research the ERP system to determine part availability, pricing, and status of sales.
  • Communicate with manufacturing representative for order implementation and status.
  • Develop written materials to promote capabilities and capture new business.
  • Communicate with customers regarding sales. Handle customer’s complaints/concerns with honesty, sincerity and help internal staff to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist and support manufacturing planning/scheduling in meeting Customers’ expectations.
  • Attend aviation trade shows to sell PMA/STC products.
  • Participate in weekly Sales Meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A&P a plus, technical aptitude a must.
  • Prefer manufacturing background (aerospace and/or military).
  • Communication style is very important, needs to be capable of telling a story.
  • Computer proficient especially with Microsoft products and databases.
  • Ability to perform Project Planning for new products and customers.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with prospective customers.
  • Experience developing sales quotes.
  • Problem solver and Self Starter
  • Assertive and Aggressive
  • Positive spokesperson for the Company included commitment, positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and requests for quotes.
  • Ability to travel extensively to meet potential customers.



Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time, perform office and clerical duties including use of office tools.

Working Environment: The working environment is corporate office facility. Daily contact with employees in other departments is required.
