Full description of the position

Job Description


This is a supervisory role that is responsible for the training, productivity and processes of Thomasville In-Home Design Consultants (IHDC) and Service Techs (ST) nationwide. The In-Home Services Sales Manager will work in conjunction with Regional Sales Managers to promote and grow the MasterBrand Cabinets (Thomasville brand collections) within The Home Depot to capturing market share from existing competitors. Responsibilities also include: directing product/sales training; competitive analysis; strategic planning; and employee development.

Organizational Relationship:

Reports directly to the VP of Field Sales – Home Depot.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist RSMs in the selection and retention of IHDCs and STs.
  • Train, develop and oversee IHDCs and STs in order to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Help RSMs develop business plans, including strategies for growth and priorities, for each of the My Project Partner (MPP) market
  • Continuously refine SOPs and in-home processes to improve the consumer experience and drive efficiencies for MBCI and THD
  • Oversee a call schedule for each territory
  • Work directly with the MBCI Marketing team to develop or improve on selling tools and Marketing materials
  • Ensure IHDCs follow the SOP and properly leverage the available selling tools
  • Be an effective coach and mentor to IHDCs and STs, providing regular and meaningful constructive feedback
  • Build relationships with key District and Regional contacts at The Home Depot
  • Manage, improve and help leverage IHDC dashboard data and SmartSheet data
  • Ability to travel frequently as business needs require
  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork, integrity, a strong work ethic, confidence, and passion.
  • Other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion


Qualifications


Characteristics & Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Documented sales success
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, 20/20)
  • Industry knowledge
  • Ability to work with many functional departments
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and an acceptable driving record

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s-level degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field is highly preferred
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with large home center environments is preferred
  • Kitchen, interior design, and/or in-home experience is a plus
  • Strong MS Excel skills are a must
