About 4ocean

4ocean is a mission-driven for-profit business, dedicated to removing trash from our oceans and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans.

Founded In 2017, 4ocean was created with the mission to sell a product that would enable the company to fund a worldwide cleanup initiative. This is how our first product, the 4ocean bracelet, was born. Made from recycled materials, every bracelet purchased funds the removal of one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines. In five years, we have sold enough bracelets to enable us to pull over 25 million pounds of trash from the ocean.

Bracelet sales were just the beginning. We are continuing to build an assortment of high quality, sustainably made products that will help people reduce their dependence on single-use plastic, reuse the materials we collect from the ocean, and celebrate the 4ocean brand and ocean-conscious lifestyle.

Beyond our products, we combat the ocean plastic crisis through technology, cleanups, influence, and education. We are a for-profit business, because we believe in creating sustainable, profitable business models around cleaning the ocean rather than relying on external funding. Our ocean clean-up operations, currently in the U.S., Haiti, and Indonesia, Guatemala and Hawaii are meticulously documented and audited for transparency and are regularly expanding to new locations and deploying new clean-up technologies.

About This Position

As the Sales Representative for the Southeast, you will be responsible for growing the business in one of our most important markets for the brand by working directly with our wholesale customers in the field.

Reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, you will travel the Southeast territory making customer calls, conducting trainings, merchandising 4ocean displays, and writing orders for new business.

Requirements of the Job: -You must love to SELL. This is a sales role responsible for hitting a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and new door targets.

-Share the 4ocean story and product line details with new and existing customers in your assigned territory.

-Collaborate with Territory Sales Manager on sales strategies working together to ensure that the team hits quarterly and annual sales targets.

-Visit all existing customers on a regular schedule ensuring their orders are consistently up to date and fulfilled on time keeping them fully stocked with 4ocean product.

-Troubleshooting any customer issues providing quick, efficient support that results in the best outcome for both the customers and 4ocean.

-Work with your TSM to build and maintain an active pipeline of prospective new 4ocean points of distribution within your designated territory.

-Road warrior, you do not have any issues with travel, and you love getting out in front of the customer. You are good with jumping on a plane, build a daily call plan, and getting in front of customers.

-Maximize sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight to the business needs and culture of the clients through a Know-Like-Trust model

-Leverage what you see in the marketplace to better position 4ocean and act as an advisor to our wholesale partners.

-Be the product expert, know your numbers and what matters to our wholesale partners.

Qualifications

As our Sales Representative - Southeast, you will bring at least 2 years of selling experience and a passion for providing value for customers.

Here are a few other things we will need you to have:

-Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required

-Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and sales software/CRM systems like Hubspot and Salesforce a plus

-Demonstrated experience with sales

-Outgoing and naturally collaborative personality

-A self-starter work ethic, driven to achieve both individual and team goals

-An amazing ability to connect with and influence people at all levels both over the phone and in-person.

-High degree of customer service, attention to detail and a crazy strong sense of urgency

-Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and prioritize tasks that have the biggest impact

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner with various levels of leadership within the organization

-Comfort in a fast-paced, always changing start-up environment

-If you don’t know the answer, you will ask for help and find the solution

-Team-first, optimistic, solution-driven orientation

-Drive to play an important role in a business that makes a difference in the world

-Personal passion for sustainability and cleaning the world’s oceans

Bonus points if you have:

-Previous experience within the outdoor or premium consumer products and/or retail industry a plus
