What is the job about?
Peerless Pump Company, a Grundfos subsidiary, is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer for its LaBour Process pumping equipment.

As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will provide support to all Sales Offices by supplying pricing, design review & delivery impact for Process Pumping Equipment. You will offer design alternatives to meet or exceed customers’ applications to maximize margin.
You will assist Sales Offices in reviewing (all or part) of customer specifications to determine best product offering and support Sales in order hand-over to manufacturing as needed.

This position will operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Indianapolis, IN or Brookshire, TX facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:

• Review project specifications and determine all technical requirements, including equipment sizing, costing, additions, flange dimensions etc.
• Contact outside vendors for pricing, delivery, and technical information for products outside Sales Manuals.
• Research requests for duplicate pumps, from serial number files and develop current pricing.
• Read & understand customer specifications.
• Support Manufacturing & Product Engineering to improve products and reduce costs.
• Provide Manufacturing all generated details pertaining to pricing, delivery schedule, preliminary design information, exceptions quoted to customer specifications, detailed listing of customer specifications reviewed at proposal phase, pattern research, etc.
• Utilize selection software, when possible, for quoting to standardize quoting process.
• Assist in educating field Sales personnel and distribution to reduce errors and provide clean orders.
• Respond in a timely fashion to Sales & Business Partner technical request correspondence via phone, mail, fax, e-mail, etc.

Your background
We imagine that you have:

• A four-year technical or engineering degree with 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role OR four years equivalent experience.
• Understand the general and advanced principles of hydraulics, pump designs, and applications.
• Previous experience in Engineering, Project Management or Sales in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good work ethic, including the ability to mutitask.
• Familiarization with computers including: Microsoft Office™ (Excel®, Word®, Power Point®, Projects®, Teams®, etc.), AutoCAD (or other drafting tools),
• The ability to perform with minimal supervision.
• The ability to produce detailed but concise written work instructions pertaining to customer requirements, production improvements, purchasing assistance, etc.
