Full description of the position

Duties: Underwrites, markets and brokers new and renewal Professional Lines and Personal and Commercial Property & Casualty lines of and Professional Lines business, including but not limited to, development of quote proposals and coverage comparisons, binding/issuance of policies and claims handling. Assists with the handling and placement of larger and more complex risks. Leverages existing broker markets and relationships, stays abreast of new products and services available, and assists with developing/securing new market appointments and/or special programs. Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the retail agents, assisting them with the achievement of premium and growth targets and ensuring that excellent service is provided. Assists with conducting training and supports continuing educational efforts with both internal staff and external customers.

Qualifications

• College degree required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience brokering Professional Lines and Property & Casualty coverages via an Excess & Surplus Wholesaler or Retail Agency required.
• Multi-line underwriting experience desirable.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and training will be considered.
• Hawaii Resident Producer and Surplus Lines Broker Licenses required.
• Working towards and/or attainment of IIA, CIC/CRM, CPCU or other designations preferred.
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s license and use of own vehicle required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
