Patient Advocate/Inside Sales
We are looking for a Patient Advocate/Inside Sales Specialist with experience in obtaining single case agreements or out of network exceptions from health insurance organizations. The specialist must be comfortable negotiating and advocating with insurance companies to obtain the patient the service authorization.
Manage relationships with patients, serving as the key point of contact, from initial lead outreach to when onboarding is ultimately made.
This position requires the specialist to foster and maintain a positive relationship with the patient and their family throughout the process from initial phone call, through authorization, to final onboarding of the patient into care.
Prior experience working with mental health, autism treatment, applied behavior analysis, developmental disabilities is preferred. This person will have previous experience in obtaining single-case agreements and have strong knowledge in the different levels of care for behavioral health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Interviews clients on admission, records required personal information, secures signatures, and prepares and supplies patient data to appropriate departments.
- Negotiate reimbursement rates with payors
- Contact clients to discuss authorization status
· Be knowledgeable about the services the company offers
· Identify prospective clients, lead generation and conversion
· Contact new and existing clients to discuss needs
· Emphasize the features of services to highlight how they meet the client’s needs
· Answer questions about the services
· Negotiate prices and terms and prepare service agreements
· Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
· Maintain contact lists and follow up with clients to continue relationships
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Comfortable working in a high-pressure sales environment with
· Proven work experience as a sales representative
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office
· Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
· Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
· Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
· Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
· Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
- 1 year of inside sales experience
- 1 year experience in an admissions based setting preferred
- Inside sales/patient advocate experience (required)
- Behavioral health experience preferred

HIPAA
Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team members are permitted to use and/or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Reports all suspected violation of company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to Human Resources.
Environmental Stewardship and Safety
- Team members are expected to adhere to facility safety requirements, report unsafe practices or equipment, and, if applicable, use the appropriate protective equipment as needed.
- Depending on role, and during the daily course of duties, team members may have to lift, twist, pull or push. Team members must be able to manage these activities up to 60 lbs.
- Any accident or incident must be reported immediately to a member of management for proper recording.
