Full description of the position

We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative on behalf of a worldwide shipping and business supplies provider!

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for sales within their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for calling on approximately 900 uniquely diverse accounts a year within their market and upselling 40,000+ company products.

This is a hybrid role with a sales territory that includes the Eugene, Salem and Oregon Coastal areas. When the Sales Rep is not out in the field they will work from home. Work life balance is a priority and integral to the culture of the company. The goal is for all reps to be home by 5pm with few overnight trips. You should be prepared to spend Monday in your home office, Tues-Thurs in the field and then a half day in the field on Fridays. Quotes are prepared for you and a 24/7 customer support team is in place to answer customer questions and product concerns. This is not a high pressure sales role and your customer base will be majorly pre-existing and provided for you.

Responsibilities:

• Provides packaging, facility and office workplace solutions to customers
• Displays and demonstrates products with an emphasis on features and quality
• Call on existing clients to schedule appointments
• Perform cold calls to grow a new customer base
• Visit an average of 22 customers per week
• Investigates, records and helps resolve customer concerns or issues
• Quotes prices that are item specific and quantity driven, with the goal of obtaining orders and maintaining profitability
• Participates in weekly sales meetings and attends one monthly meeting in person or virtually
• Provides customer feedback to marketing department
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the above activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree is strongly desired
• At least 6 months of outside sales experience
• Established track record and longevity with past employers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel for training, sales meetings and to various territories (when necessary)

Schedule:

• Full time, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay is $72,000-$88,500 per year
