The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) works to keep our largest clients satisfied and engaged to the highest standards with an eye towards growing our respective businesses, fully leveraging the resources that ProService has to offer. Strategic Account Managers will build strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders within an assigned book of business, including C-Suite, HR and accounting/finance professionals.
The SAM will understand the key business needs of each of their contacts and work cross functionally across the organization to develop winning solutions or resolve and escalate issues as needed. This role is directly responsible for the internal delivery of solutions to our clients, and closing to loop to reinforce client satisfaction. This individual will be seen as a trusted advisor to an assigned book of clients who demonstrates and maximizes the value of our partnership through product and service offerings. This role is based on Oahu.
Responsibilities & Outcomes
Client Retention. Develop and execute client retention strategies and engagement. Owns and facilitates rapid response actions to eliminate client termination risks.
- Client Growth. Assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs and goals, using them to identify up-sell opportunities, and generating client referrals. Identities and shares product or service feedback.
- Client Advocate. Serves as advocate between key accounts and internal teams to share learning, problem solving for service and product related escalations. Serves as a "quarterback" to resolve client issues by coordinating with multiple departments to ensure short-term and long-term performance goals are met. Works in support of Client Success team.
- Subject Matter Expertise. Exercise strong working and system knowledge of HR, payroll, and benefits to act as the first line of support for primary services. Utilizes the combination of industry, product, and service knowledge to demonstrate the value of our services and products. Supports launch strategies/initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience
- 7+ years experience working as a Key Account Manager, Account Executive, Management, or related experience is required.
- Prior B2B sales experience is a plus.
- Experience using CRM software (SalesForce) is a plus.
- Listening. Superior empathetic listening and discovery skills to achieve appropriate experiences for our clients. Fosters a client centric attitude.
- Negotiation. Negotiate and achieve optimal buy-in from both the client and internal partners
- Influencing. Influence without authority - savvy to maneuver through the org to achieve desired results.
- Customer Focus. Thrives in developing deep client relationships that results in continued revenue generation and the highest levels of client satisfaction.
- Strategic Thinking. Able to tactfully advocate and be prescriptive in complex situations.
- Education. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited community college or university is preferred.
