Full description of the position

Renaissance Benefits is seeking a Sales Support Supervisor to support the existing team. This position can be done hybrid or remote and must be able to work and support team on EST.

The Sales Support Supervisor plans, leads, and supervises the activities of the department to ensure that goals and objectives are met.

What will this role entail?
  • Participates in hiring process and performance management. Supervises and develops staff to ensure accountability for achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Oversees the day to day activities and provides coaching/mentoring to team members.
  • May work with area manager to develop team building, leading change, and organizational learning; performs daily analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics, real-time monitoring, agent performance level reviews, and coaching to achieving departmental objectives.
  • Assists with front line work as a working supervisor (up to 80% of job role to support business needs).
  • Identifies and resolves escalated problems; answers and recommends corrective actions to address any broker complaints.
  • With assistance from manager, helps to lead team efforts in designing, developing, testing, and evaluating the implementation of new quoting initiatives and reporting.
  • Responsible for identifying and monitoring volume, turnaround times, and other reports connected with timely quoting and overall support for Group Sales
  • Works directly with front line staff to implement and champion change initiatives developed by organizational leadership
  • Manages basic performance issues of team, escalating sensitive or complex issues to manager, as needed.
  • Provides input into recommendations for potential staff terminations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Director

What will the ideal candidate possess?
  • Position requires a combination of an associate’s degree, technical, vocational or business school
  • One to three years related work experience in an insurance or health environment with a minimum of one year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Position requires basic knowledge of insurance products, dental terminology, and dental procedures
  • One year of quoting experience required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills; knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software; and ability to resolve problems and use independent judgment
