About the Role:

As a Pre-sales Engineer you will be primarily responsible for driving business in exciting new technologies such as applied AI, predictive/condition-based maintenance and other immerging solutions for Smart Manufacturing and Smart Cities. Through your client-facing efforts, you develop a deep understanding of client needs and the value of operational improvement while leveraging that knowledge as an essential advisor to the customer.

Pre-Sales Engineers have industry, technical and ideally 'sales' skills, and are adept at speaking in the customer's language to relate key industry challenges, trends, and solutions. You will combine your broad perspective on disruptive technologies with an ability to understand and integrate vendor and Macnica solutions successfully to improve customer workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead discovery sessions and site surveys with customers to understand pain points as a basis to position innovative solutions and build value propositions from our portfolio.

· Create memorable and positive demonstrations to showcase products and solutions being sold to the prospect that addresses their key challenges and opportunities for improvement.

· Fully understand, articulate, and sell the benefits of our solutions to key stakeholders at all levels, examples include Client IT Staff, business leaders and "C" level executives.

· Work closely with the sales team, external vendor partners, and the customers to ensure a smooth transition from presales design to implementation and support

· Develop solution design documentation using modern frameworks, methodologies, standards, or technologies

· Curate a standardized pursuit and sales material library to accelerate proposals. Provide feedback to ensure that pursuit and sales material is kept relevant and current

· Ensure that sales opportunities are quoted, tracked, analyzed and reported

· Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position

· Represent Macnica during Marketing or Partner Events (e.g., Tradeshows, Industry demos, industry specific conferences)

· Assist in recognizing successes through win and success story publications

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or equivalent field.

· 3+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Technical Resource, or Operational Excellence delivery leader

· Must be comfortable with driving customer meetings on a regular basis

· Ability to work with complex business requirements and translating them into the design of solutions, including multi product demos, user story creation, business rules, etc.

· Ability to understand the competitive landscape and understand where our products play within that landscape

· Highly self-motivated, passionate team-oriented individual

· Interest in global, cross-geography collaboration

· Expert oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you support.
