Full description of the position

FUNCTION (Summary of Responsibilities):

Regional Manager of Communications functions as a coach, trainer and manager for a team of independent sales representatives. RMC is responsible for driving the goal attainment and new business development. RMC supports reps in technical knowledge of STI products to new and perspective clients. RMC identifies new markets and customers while connecting with existing clients for upsell and repeat business. RMC is part of a Region team coordinating with Territory Managers and other Strategic Team Members.

DUTIES:

· Develop and implement communications segment sales strategies

· Lead independent manufacturer representative sales team to achieve sales targets

  • Establish sales objectives and monthly, quarterly, annual sales quotas
  • Negotiate and close sales with targeted accounts
  • Monitor and analyze sales targets and other performance metrics
  • Maintain and develop sales staff of independent manufacturers representatives
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Function in a collaborative team environment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering

  • A minimum of three years experience in sales management with direct employees and or independent manufacturer sales representatives
  • A minimum of five years experience in outside sales
  • RCDD preferred, not required
  • Contacts with the structured cabling industry, or related low voltage industries
  • Ability to travel within the region up to 60% of the time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Cabling Low Voltage Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
