An immediate opportunity with solid compensation is open in a stable in demand industry! We are a privately owned company, headquartered in Lafayette, seeking a dynamic, positive, dedicated individual to fill an inside sales position, who's capable of supporting existing business as well as assist in the develop of additional channels for our nationally known foodservice related products. We are a stocking wholesale distributor that prides itself in cultivating long lasting relationships with our customers. Previous experience within the commercial food service industry is a plus but not essential, we can train the right person.

As a Southern Ice Sales Representative, you will:

• Work within a small team supporting our customers on a direct basis; primarily through phone and computer contact. Some limited direct contact at our sales office.
• Monitor emails, an incoming customer calls supplying quotes and processing orders for pick up and shipment
• Generate invoices, purchase orders and inventory reports
• Pull and package orders for shipment (when required)

Candidates should have the ability to work independently and be multi task oriented while working as a productive team member to ensure customer satisfaction.

Successful candidates should possess:

-Previous Inside Sales Experience: any knowledge of the Refrigeration and or Food Service Industry, (Sales or Service), is a plus but not essential

-High School Diploma

-Minimum two years customer service experience, preferably B2B

-A positive attitude combined with a professional etiquette in all interactions with customers

- Likes working with people

-Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills-Integrity, energy, motivation, and enthusiasm

-Proficient computer skills

-Team oriented characteristics

-Ability to lift up to 30# packages

- Should have strong business references, available for interview
