This is a remote position. Must live in a city with a Drury Hotel and access to a major airport.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under general direction, provide leadership and development of the national sales and corporate partnership teams in effort to grow company revenues for the national groups segment.
Job Duties:
- Leads the efforts of national and account sales executives (SEs) to grow existing account and new account revenue from within the assigned vertical segments.
- Establishes clearly communicated strategies for building account revenue through vertical segments including, but not limited to: chain-wide partnerships, account mapping, pricing strategies, new account development.
- Leads team to have expert knowledge of their accounts through total account management. Efforts include insurance of vertical saturation of the account including, but not limited to: procurement director, travel manager, agency contact, and meeting planning department.
- Takes active role in the sales process. Works with team to identify revenue opportunities within key accounts that have potential for significant growth.
- Leads and encourages proactive and creative exploration across Drury sales team to capture chain-wide opportunity within all customer interactions and grow market share at Drury Hotels.
- Development of sales executives including but not limited to: regular sales plan reviews, performance development meetings, coaching sessions, sales meetings, annual performance reviews and mid-year touch base.
- Holds self and team accountable to participation in vertical segment industry education and networking groups to promote brand recognition, company programs and obtain key business leads.
- Leads relationship of brand level partnerships with suppliers and vendors, insuring all aspects of contract are implemented and measured for return on investment.
- Encourages proactive and creative exploration of chain-wide opportunity within all customer interactions.
- Plans, coordinates, and measures results for vertical segment tradeshows
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Requires expert knowledge of sales techniques and professional business practices. Requires ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Requires proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Requires effective time management and organizational skills.

Supervisory Duties:
Daily leadership of team of direct reports national sales executives
Qualifications:
Requires minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales and account management experience, preferably in hospitality or related field.
Requires 3-5 years of sales leadership experience or completion of company leadership development program.
Education:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, or Bachelor’s Degree in sales, marketing business management, or related field.
