We are actively recruiting for a Manager, Strategy & Business Development to join our team in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.

Assess and lead capital allocation efforts, including licensing, disposition, and acquisition of assets for a fortune 200 company with some of the most iconic brands! Have a bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field? Have experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, or venture capital? We are actively recruiting for a Manager, Strategy & Business Development to join our team in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify and evaluate unique partnership pathways to capitalize on capital allocation opportunities
- Engage with external parties including outreach and relationship management.
- Participate in all aspects of transaction execution including project management, due diligence, and valuation, working closely with business teams, internal functional experts, and external advisors.
- Lead gathering of inputs, developing, and analyzing valuation models for any capital allocation opportunity. Build comprehensive pro-forma financial models, valuation, and sensitivity analysis in support of potential transactions.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to evaluate capital allocation opportunities, working closely with accounting, tax and legal
- Support M&A priorities as a member of a small corporate strategy and development team that influences long-term, company-wide investment initiatives. Collaborate across the enterprise to help assess and prioritize M&A transactions to best align with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
- Work closely with legal to define and review all business terms in M&A transaction agreements.
Want we want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience with 2-3 years in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, or venture capital. MBA preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Advanced modeling skills and the ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines.
- Strong communication skills; ability to concisely articulate capital allocation thesis to internal partners, including senior leadership.
- Broad financial competence including a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance principles (comprehensive understanding of valuation methodologies).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leading internal and external resources.
- Self-starter can work independently and on collaborative teams.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
