Full description of the position
Summary
The Sales/Meeting Connections Manager is an entry-level fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel.
Responsibilities Include:
- Selling guest rooms, meeting space & other Hyatt services to customer groups
- Managing accounts
- Conducting site inspections
- Solicit & generate business
- Client entertaining
- Travel to tradeshows
- Sales calls
- Preparing & presenting effective proposals
- Maintaining well organized documentation & reports
- Utilize Hyatt systems & coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate
- Participate/may lead event meetings & sales meetings
- Works as a team member with the sales & catering staff as well as with assigned admin assistants & other support staff

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Prefer 1-2 years of hotel experience
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
