Metal Recycling Company is looking for an experienced sales manager/purchasing agent to lead and oversee our commercial, industrial and retail purchasing. The company expects the highest level of customer service from all of our employees, starting with our management team. The successful applicant must be a motivated, self-starter who is able to excel and source new clientele. Experience is preferred but, the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

· Minimal 2+ years of sales/purchasing experience

· General knowledge of the metal recycling industry

· Ability to work 45+ hours per week

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Proven teamwork and leadership skills

· Basic computer skills

· Legally eligible to work in the United States

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Pass pre-employment screening including but not limited to drug screening, motor vehicle record and background check

Responsibilities

· Account management

· Source new commercial, industrial and retail customers

· Lead our team in purchasing and new sales

· Follow company safety policies

· Safely operate a company vehicle

· Ability to source scrap material with occasional cold calling new accounts

· Ability to identify different types of nonferrous and ferrous metals

· Must work out of our Richmond facility
