JOB OVERVIEW
Working with sales leadership team, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will have had experience at outside sales in a business-to-business setting in a technology field and will have been a top performer throughout his/her career. The RSM will both prospect and close full sales cycles within college and athletics program accounts in their territory.
This is a sales focused role that is targeted in the college and athletic sports market. The representative will be expected to gain knowledge of each solution in the product portfolio and offer those solutions in solutions selling model. The representative is responsible for evaluating and qualify leads, determining customer needs, providing a compelling demonstration, developing, and presenting proposals, and closing deals in addition to the appropriate administrative activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Build strong, on-going relationships with clients
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and hunt new accounts by planning and organizing daily schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Execute prospecting campaigns by aggressive customer outreach.
- Keeps management informed by submitting results reports, weekly updates, and monthly and quarterly territory analyses.
- Careful and continual updating of appropriate Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools to include [please apply online]
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Submits orders following company policy.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing responses, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
- Contributes to the sales team by collegial interaction with peers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of successful progressive experience as an outside sales professional.
- Experience with identifying opportunities and developing relationships within the sporting industry
- Experience with the use of Salesforce.com or similar CRM for managing an outside sales team.
- The candidate’s sales experience should be specific to pursuing the sale of a technology-oriented product or service in a business-to-business setting.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with collegiate or amateur athletic organizations.
- Familiarity and experience selling website and/or live streaming solutions.
