Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites (MCCFC) is composed of several companies, but at its core there are two. In April 2013, two California Companies, Grafil, a carbon fiber manufacturer in Sacramento and Newport Adhesives and Composites, a prepreg manufacturer in Irvine, were merged to create Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites (MRCFAC); then in 2017, we re-branded to MCCFC. Since our merge, we have made multiple acquisitions within the United States. In addition to these acquisitions, we have continued to improve and expand our current facility’s capabilities. Job Purpose
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for liaising with Sales Director, field sales personnel, customers, warehouse department and plant production units to ensure efficient order processing. Responsible for processing customer orders in the company order entry system, from order entry through shipment/invoicing. Responsible for all general administrative tasks in the Customer Service/Sales department, including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, typing, correspondence, quotations, and report preparation. Responsible for both domestic and export shipments. These duties may be amended at any time by management to reflect changing business conditions and requirements at MCCFC.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Operation of sales order entry systems.
- Processing all data related to customer orders, including, but not limited to, the following: order entry, change orders, creating order files, creating Certificates of Conformity, shipping orders/updating inventory database, creating and distributing invoices, and filing the completed order.
- Liaise with Sales Director, field sales personnel, overseas offices, warehouse staff, Production Planner, and other departments concerning orders and areas of concerns with customers.
- Assist customers with questions on orders and shipments, including tracing shipments and providing tracking information, preparing quotations as directed by Sales Director and field sales personnel, and handling customers’ problems, complaints, returns, and inquiries.
- Advise customers and sales personnel of delays/problems.
- Arrange air/ocean shipments for exports and prepare export documentation.
- Understand how to use U.S Export Regulations and the regulatory requirements for exporting carbon fiber.
INVENTORY CONTROL
- Enter inventory receipts of Pyrofil carbon fiber for drop shipment.
- Issue precursor, shipment of carbon fiber, and inventory adjustments, as needed.
- Perform inventory analysis at month end, and make necessary adjustments
ISO
- Maintain relevant ISO documents and logs. Process Document Change Orders.
OTHER
- Complete clerical projects for Customer Service and Sales, as required.
- Participate when needed in the planning and organization of sales meeting and trade shows.
- Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of company proprietary information.
- Exhibit exemplary conduct at all times in dealing with other MCCFC employees, and any outside contacts. Contribute to a healthy, positive, and safe environment. Promote self as a team member.
- May be assigned, and be expected to perform to acceptable standards, any other relevant duties as required by management.
Education: High school diploma or GED required, A.S or B.S degree preferred
Experience: 2+ years of administrative office experience. Some experience in customer service, accounting, inventory control, and import/export procedures required.
