Job Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for management of multiple multi-million dollar contracts with high volume transactions and high risk categories in a highly visible role. The Account Manager will be tasked with driving new business revenue and gross profit growth from existing customers and their managed accounts. The Account Manager should have a strong finance background and/or professional project management certifications demonstrating a proven track record of handling contracts, negotiations, complex project planning, problem solving, and consultative sales. The Account Manager interfaces directly with the customers on a regular basis and should be highly organized and analytical and will help Agile grow both top and bottom line results. This role is a remote position with 50% required travel. The pay range for this position is $90,000-$130,000 a year base pay plus commission.

Job Functions
New Business Development
- Develop strong strategic relationships with decision makers at existing and target customers to facilitate the expansion of existing contracts and creation of new business contracts; actively solicit additional business
- Lead onsite customer meetings and provide suggestions to customers for new and/or additional Agile services
- Responsible for leading Agile’s response to formal proposal requests, including delegation of work, write proposal content, and on time submittal
- Collaborate with Agile management to determine and accurately represent Agile’s capabilities for each new proposal and contract and to determine pricing and mark up for all proposals
- Maintain sales pipeline within Sales Force
- Responsible for process development and implementation to service newly awarded contracts
Existing Contract Management
- Ensure exceptional customer service
- Maintain profitability of the account and make recommendations to management as needed to increase profitability
- Ensure entire procure to pay process is working and follow best practices
- Manage contract expiration and renewal processes to ensure maximum business potential is reached and retained
- Make recommendations to management as needed to mitigate risk, ensure contractual compliance and continuity of supply
- Lead recurring business reviews with customers to share key performance indicators, ensure customer satisfaction, and keep engagements on schedule
- Prepare contract forecast semi-annually and monitor the budget to actual monthly
- Monitor existing pricing and price change eligibility and communicate/negotiate new pricing with customers
Requirements
- Minimum five years account management and sales experience, preferably in the gas and/or electric utility industry
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other applicable field, or equivalent
- Experience with contract development and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to be patient and outgoing with people
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members
- Highly motivated, results focused and act with a high sense of urgency
- Advanced business acumen including a strong understanding of financial statements, risk mitigation and project management
