We have an opening for a Technical Sales Manager. This position is an opportunity to take the company to the next level by focusing on the significant need for technology refresh in airport weather systems. This is a full-time position. Both local and remote candidates will be considered.
Primary responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing domestic and international sales of Mesotech’s Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS) and related meteorological products.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for meteorological instrumentation systems and associated installation work
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to commercial and government customers
- Respond to incoming sales inquiries via phone and email
- Actively pursue new opportunities based on phone, email, and networking
- Participate actively in aviation, airport, and meteorological associations and events
- Develop, improve, and implement and enhance our sales strategy
- Develop and maintain business relationships with customers and partners
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in technical sales (B2B and/or B2G)
- Demonstrated competence using MS Office suite, remote collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.) and CRM software
- Fluent in English language, spoken and written
- Excellent communication skills via phone and email and
- Willing and able to travel as required for sales and marketing activities
- Able to pass a thorough background check by the US Department of Defense.
- This position requires access to ITAR restricted information (must be a US Person).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in technical sales meeting and exceeding revenue and sales goals.
- Experience in selling to airport, Air Force, or general aviation and meteorological instrumentation industries
- Awareness of impact of weather on businesses and aviation safety
- Experience working with general contractors as a subcontractor and as prime contractor in constructions projects
