Full description of the position

CONCOA is searching for a competitive, driven, and results-oriented Technical Sales Engineer to develop gas controls solutions for customers throughout the Northeast in markets such as petrochemical, university, life sciences, and metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have significant experience marketing and selling technical products in scientific settings.

Specific duties of the position include:

· Working with distributors to develop solutions through training, end-user calls, and product quotations;

· Providing product recommendations, technical support, and applications information to customers;

· Identifying and inducting new distributors within established channels;

· Supporting marketing efforts through trade shows, large-audience presentations, and other brand events;

· Reporting activities and marketplace information to management on a regular basis through CRM and call reports;

· Recommending changes in products, services, and policies based on applications results, competitive developments, and customer feedback;

· Maintaining a professional presence and demeanor that is reflective of the corporate image; and

· Any collateral duties assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.

Job Prerequisites

The Territory Manager position requires the following education, experience, and skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent;

· Industry experience marketing and selling technical products through a variety of distribution channels;

· Ability to master the features, specifications, and applications for highly technical products;

· Strong technical and persuasive writing and presentation skills;

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based CRM; and

· Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage, and adequate credit to operate within an expense reimbursement system.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers. The job requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and using a telephone. The employee must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment

The position requires up to 75% travel through the territory depending on the home location of employee. Though designed for a 40-hour work week, the position requires flexibility to meet customer needs and management expectations. Visiting customer sites may have additional requirements such as PPE.
