About the Sales Manager (Pharmaceuticals) Position:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to contribute to our company's sales objectives. Your responsibilities include supervising the sales team and building long-term client relationships.

As a Sales Manager, you should use your creativity and knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position.

Ultimately, you should aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with large, distributed customers.

Sales Manager responsibilities are:

  • Detailed experience in the Pharmaceutical industry particularly Veterinarian and focused on the Equine & Canine markets.
  • Implementing effective sales strategies
  • Develop sales territories by building strong client relationships within a highly competitive environment.
  • Sharing strategies with the sales team so they can meet aggressive sales targets
  • Develop lead generation strategies and sales initiatives.
  • Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization
  • Identify new sales/product and client opportunities and implement strategies to produce or secure them as the case requires
  • Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning
  • Establishing a good relationship among customer accounts
  • Network with various stakeholders
  • Negotiating and implementing ideas to clients
  • Monitor sales expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Providing updates and solutions to clients in a timely manner
  • Preparing reports on sales performance
  • Identifying new opportunities
  • Promoting new products/services
  • Keep up to date with trends and activities in the sector, being aware of competitor activities to remain ahead of the curve

Sales Manager requirements are:

  • Min 5yrs experience as a Sales Manager in the Pharmaceutical industries particularly Veterinarian and focused on the Equine & Canine markets.
  • BA/BSc degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields
  • US Work Authorization
  • US Drivers License & working vehicle (40% Travel Required)
  • B2B & B2C experience.
  • Advanced and in-depth experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and other related CRM based software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, including a commercial background w.r.t. contracts and distribution agreements.
  • High-performance sales management
  • Able to analyze sales performance
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Salary to be advised during the interview process as certain performance and/or commissions may apply as well.

Equipment Used:

Regularly uses typical office equipment including laptop, tablets, telephone, fax and copier, along with vehicle for sales calls.


Work Environment:

Work is typically performed from potential customer to customer.

Driving is a substantial part of the position.
