Business Development Representative | Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health | Garner, North Carolina
Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative will serve as the main point of contact between the community, the facility, and referral sources/agencies. The Business Development Representative is responsible for educating the community and referring agencies through effective marketing principles, sales, and events regarding the facility, resulting in creating a demand for the facility’s services.
The Business Development Representative, in collaboration with the Regional Director of Business Development, Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, is responsible for presenting a positive and professional image of the facility within the community.
In the role as the Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for the executing the facility’s strategic plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, in addition to achieving the departmental and facility’s business development goals. The Business Development Representative must be able to demonstrate resourcefulness, patience, tact, and dedication in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires daily travel in your assigned geographic territory to meet with contacts with primary referral sources including hospitals, crisis centers, physicians, schools/colleges, social services, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health and substance abuse professionals, and other community resources. As a Business Development Representative, you will attend events, conferences as the representative of the facility.
The hours of the position are based on department, and facility needs which include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.
Job Duties:
Minimum requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in health care business development/marketing environment, preferably in the mental health and/or addiction treatment field.
- Good understanding of the local market and referral base
- Knowledge of psychiatric and substance use treatments
- Organized and demonstrate the ability to multitask and have a well developed and effective relational skills
- Must be able and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile, where facility requires.
