Job Description
The Strategic Initiatives Communication team puts our customers at the center of everything we do. We are storytellers who value simplicity, personalization, and innovation to deliver world-class experiences that empower our internal customers’ success so they can best power our customers’ success. Our team is part of the Global Enablement Team and rolls up through Global Operations to the Chief Commercial Officer. This role will report to the Strategic Initiatives Communication Lead.
The Global Sales Communications Strategist will lead integrated communication strategy development and execution for priority go-to-market and change management programs impacting ServiceNow’s global sales and post-sales employees. This role will partner closely with cross-functional global and regional teams (e.g., Enablement, Executive Communications, Business Units, Organizational Change Management, Global Operations, Marketing, etc.) to develop and activate communication plans and employee engagement campaigns. This role will also provide consultative guidance to support stakeholders and leaders across ServiceNow.
Success metrics are defined based on program objectives and by how effective communication plans are in driving program success and bringing impacted audiences along the change journey from awareness through adoption. Success will also be measured by the role’s capacity to simplify communication approaches and messaging so target audiences only consume relevant, cohesive, and actionable content that drives desired behaviors and sentiment.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drive global sales key initiatives and integrated communication strategy
- Build and execute integrated communication plans for global and regional sales roles in support of quarterly business priorities
- Develop quarterly narratives to drive consistent messaging across programs
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and measure program success to ensure field sales adoption
- Create creative content (video, infographics, etc.) in collaboration with our in-house digital media group
- Support quarterly podcast with C-level executives
This role will regularly connect with the Strategic Initiatives Communication Lead to discuss what inspires them, where gaps might exist, opportunities to support other programs or areas of the business, etc. and pivot as necessary so that this role evolves into one this person is continually excited about and the business needs.
Qualifications
- Strong storytelling skills with a strategic, big picture mindset
- Experience developing and executing global communication plans that drive business outcomes for go-to-market and change management programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement, program management, and writing skills
- Experience with organizational change management
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, work comfortably with leadership, and collaborate across a range of stakeholders and teams
- Detail-oriented and results-driven with established executive presence
- Experience in enterprise software/tech industry – large, mature company environments or smaller high-growth companies or startups
- Comfortable in a matrixed organization and ability to be agile based on business and audience needs
- Enthusiastic with an appetite for continuous learning
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred
- Graduate work in communication, business, change management, or related is preferred
