We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our clients team as a new Retail Business Development Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business development, establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with retailers, and increasing revenue and profitability for our organization through sales channels.
Key Responsibilities for the Retail Business Development Representative:
- Identify new business opportunities by researching potential retailers, analyzing market trends, and conducting competitor analysis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at retail companies, identifying their needs and presenting solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing materials, promotions, and sales strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective retailers, tracking sales activity and updating sales forecasts.
- Present proposals and negotiate contracts with prospective retailers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are in line with company policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for retailers, providing exceptional customer service and responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to identify new business opportunities and network with potential clients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and competitive activity, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Participate in training programs to continuously improve sales and business development skills.
Requirements for Retail Business Development Representative:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven sales and business development experience, with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving new business growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Ability to present proposals and negotiate contracts with prospective retailers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a pipeline of prospective retailers and prioritize sales activity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as required to attend industry events and meet with clients.
