Ground Floor (or more advanced role) in sales & business development role at exciting health tech startup

Job Description


We are looking for an energetic business development associate to help drive our sales and grow the business. While we are primarily looking for an associate with minimal experience we also are interested in hearing from more experienced sales people, particularly those with experience in selling data projects to health care organizations.


This role will develop new prospects and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships. At the moment we have an overwhelming number of inbound leads, but eventually we will move to a more traditional outbound sales development approach.


This role will also manage our team's client relationships using our Pipedrive CRM and be responsible for the overall process-flow of the department. Other duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of projects, and identifying new business opportunities. This role will work with various departments and report to the EVP of Partnerships.


This job is based in Durham, NC but may be open to remote work for the right candidate


Responsibilities:


  • Cultivating strong relationships with new prospects, while maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Collating and maintaining client information in our CRM database (Pipedrive).
  • Assist with drafting, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  • Conducting market research and identifying potential clients.
  • Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partners.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or related field.
  • 1 - 4+ years' relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred, but not necessary for associate role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure in a startup environment
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and relevant software.
  • Be willing to learn fast and take on more responsibilities quickly
