Full description of the position

Summary

This dual role is unique to the Hyatt Centric Philadelphia which encompasses both sales systems and reservations systems. This role will include maintaining sales bookings, preparing reports and providing support the Director of Sales and as well as the Revenue team. They will hold responsibility to handle guest room reservation requests for the hotel, provide guest with hotel facility information and answer questions relating to the hotel and local area. The dual role will need to have someone highly organized, detail oriented, driven and have excellent communication skills. The selected candidate will provide administrative assistance, for producing accurate revenue forecasts, in order to assist with setting Hotel goals.

This role reports directly to our Sales & Revenue team and actively works alongside our Operations and Sales team in the day to day reservations needs.

Candidate will manage group reservations and group rooms inventory as part of the convention services process, specifically:

  • Establish initial contact with customer at file turnover
  • Maintain relationship with customer, up to arrival, for all matters pertaining to guest room usage, including obtaining no-show and wash history, obtaining and managing changes to rooming lists, and tracking and managing the inventory for individual call-in groups.
  • Prepare and submit group rooms recap reports, including the tracking/posting of group comps, and rebate/commission calculations.
  • Shift is Monday – Friday with availability to be flexible with morning in time.
  • Benefit eligible after 30 days of employment

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Word, and Excel. Opera, Colleague Advantage is a plus.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Excellent customer service and interface skills
  • Understanding of rooms merchandising and yield management processes
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while be self-sufficient in the day to day tasks
