Outside Sales Representative | Account Executive

Job Description

  • Solid Roofing, Inc. is looking for a results-driven outside sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.
  • The responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to:
  • Throughout the ENTIRE sales, installation, and warranty process – you shall be the prospect and customer’s primary point of contact.
  • You shall present, promote, and sell our products/services using solid arguments and selling techniques to prospective customers
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to prospective customer leads through cold calling, business networking and other out-bound sales techniques
  • Follow up with estimates. Follow up with estimates. Follow up!
  • You shall input all your leads, prospects, and customers into our CRM system called NUTSHELL. This entered data shall remain the property of Solid Roofing.
  • You should be prepared to expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • You will achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through customer and management feedback
  • While we offer a weekly draw; this is a 100% commissioned sales position with no salary. Your draw will be deducted from future commissions payouts; and the amount of the weekly draw may be increased as sales volume increases, and your downline potential has been established. NO CAPS – UNLIMITED EARNINGS POTENTIAL
  • Our profit share (commission) payout for this position shall be 30% of gross profit – that is fully paid once the full balance due has been collected from the customer. To achieve this 30% commission rate, the following tasks and responsibilities will be required:
  • As stated above, you shall be the primary point of contact with the homeowner – so the fulfillment of all documents and color selection shall be your sole responsibility. This could include multiple visits to the prospect and customer’s home.
  • Keep the homeowner advised of their position on our production schedule.
  • On the day of install, you shall make at least three (3) visits to the project – basically, morning – noon and night. Prior to each visit, you will coordinate with Solid Roofing operations to see if the project needs any additional supplies or if there is any way that you can assist in the successful completion of the project.
  • After the installation, follow up with the homeowner – asking for feedback and resolve any installation concerns or issues.
  • Assist management in the collection of the payment for the project.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings (usually Thursday lunch)
  • Required Skills / License / Certification:
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
