JOB TITLE: CATERING SALES MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: CATERING

SUPERVISOR: CATERING DIRECTOR

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Catering Sales Manager targets and coordinates catering sales efforts. This position involves initiation and development of quality leads to ensure growth of catering sales. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Monitoring catering phone lines, internal leads and event inquiries

-Responding immediately to voicemails, first thing the following work day or within

24 hours outside normal business schedule

-Working closely with clients to ensure their event requests are received and well communicated by way of the BEO (Banquet Event Order)

-Assisting clients with menu builds, making informed decisions on quantities needed and suggestions relating to their events. Salesmanship vs Ordertaking.

-Development of existing business and solicitation of new business through lead generations and marketing, seeking new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques

-Contribution to the execution of events. This includes, but is not limited to, involvement in events on and off premise, collaboration and participation with catering initiatives and presenting a leadership mindset in alliance with Matty’s core values to create and support a cohesive team.

-Conducting weekly BEO Meetings outlining upcoming events

-Preparing and presenting financial information on sales, leads, gross profit margin and comparative measurables per the Catering Director’s discretion.

-Ordering weekly linen based on the needs of upcoming events.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

-Proven track record in a sales role

-Experience with Tripleseat or a similar events management software program

-Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation competence

-Detail oriented, motivated and results driven

-Strong leadership experience, skills and business acumen

-Guest-focused, hospitality-driven, team oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
