FLATS is the property management company of CEDARst Companies, a fully integrated real estate developer and one of the largest real estate development companies in Chicago, recently expanding to Cleveland, Minneapolis, Portland, and San Diego.

Our team is seeking an individual with strong sales and organizational skills to fill a full time Leasing Professional position for The Ardus and Bush Temple, Two of our largest assets and located in the River North submarket.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary of $50,000 and includes a bonus structure for lease signings.

Job Summary

The Leasing Professional is the property's sales representative whose primary duties are to tour prospective residents, manage the CRM and all inbound prospect inquiries, complete leasing administrative duties, and help prepare future residents for their move-in date. The Leasing Professional will work in conjunction with the Property Manager to ensure budgeted occupancy goals are met on time, along with ensuring first-rate customer service. This position is full-time and requires working on weekends, but ultimately depends on the needs of the property.

The role of the Leasing Professional is primarily based on meeting and exceeding budgeted occupancy goals and delivering professional and authentic experiences for renters. The job responsibilities for the Leasing Professional are primarily focused on leasing, but also include supporting the general operations of the property across all departments:

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including leasing apartments, preparing lease paperwork and assisting the team to ensure a smooth move-in experience
  • Greet clients, assess needs, answer questions and provide tours of the apartment community.
  • Process applications and prepare and review lease agreements and renewals.
  • Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries, which includes providing leasing information, scheduling appointments and creating and following up activities.
  • Facilitate virtual tours as needed or when requested due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
  • Manage Funnel CRM for all lead management responsibilities and functions.
  • Participate in the property’s Daily Leasing Call each morning with the regional management team.
  • Complete weekly and monthly leasing and marketing reports as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist all clients with a positive and friendly tone.
  • Participate in individual and team training as assigned, including Fair Housing training.
  • Work under the general direction of the property’s Property Manager.
  • Exhibit clear, timely, and professional communicate with all parties.
  • Assist with all other needs based on property performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in property management and multifamily leasing is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Funnel, Yardi, RENTCafe CRM, Entrata, MRI, or Onesite is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service focused with the ability to be a strong team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Must be able to tour the community with clients, including walking the property, climbing stairs.
  • Driver's License is required.
