The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is looking for a team-player that has an entrepreneurial passion and a strong commitment to serving clients. The ideal candidate will have related hospitality experience, a positive can-do attitude, passion for service and creativity with superior written and verbal communication skills. We are a collaborative, fast-paced team looking for a self-motivated person to join us, learn, and quickly grow their career. This position has a strong focus on outside sales including but not limited to cold calling, face-to-face sales presentations, coordinating appointments with decision makers, and business development office visits for new and existing clients.

Position Responsibilities

• Soliciting business using multiple channels including but not limited to cold calling, social media, and networking events
• Own the entire sales process and account strategy for generating and developing business opportunities
• Generating and converting leads for both transient and conference business opportunities for the hotel
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sales as well as accurately forecast sales opportunities and deliver revenue accordingly.
• Providing high level of service and personal attention to retain and grow the current client base
• Remaining current on hospitality trends and establishing expertise with aligned industries
• Inviting clients to tour and understand The Madison Concourse Hotel experience
• Maintaining current knowledge of our promotions and product offerings and research what the competition is offering
• Effectively influence and empower internal cross-functional team members to drive sales success.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Must be a self-starter, motivated, and driven to succeed. A can-do approach to achieve excellence, team player and a fast learner.
• Experience with CRM system (Salesforce), preferred but not required
• Experience using Delphi or other similar software, preferred but not required
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Must possess excellent prospecting abilities
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends on a department rotation
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
