Full description of the position

SPR Therapeutics, is a growth-oriented medical device company specializing in pain management through non-narcotic means. Our Market Access Department, located in Brooklyn Park, MN is adding a Market Access Manager to support the development and execution of U.S. coverage and reimbursement strategy through engagement with U.S. Commercial, Worker’s Compensation payer organizations and Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). This role offers the opportunity to establish reimbursement for SPR Therapeutics’ innovative new pain management therapies.

Responsibilities:

· Supports the development and execution of the company’s economic evidence generation strategy.

· Assists in the surveillance, analysis and reporting on government and commercial payer policies affecting reimbursement and/or patient access.

· Identifies processes and procedures of U.S Commercial payers to maximize coverage opportunities.

· Track policy status changes, evaluate and assesses changes and their impact to SPR therapies and communication to internal stakeholders related to coverage policy changes.

· Assists in the development of tools to accelerate positive U.S. payer coverage and differentiate SPR. This includes, but is not limited to, model coverage policies, core value dossiers, budget impact models and coverage request submissions

· Facilitates collaboration with local physician champions and important stakeholder groups (e.g., professional societies) to deliver effective engagement with payers.

· Partner with customer-focused teams for KOL engagement and coordination with payer strategy.

· Support the implementation of payer strategies for establishing, continuing, and expanding therapy coverage.

· Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to assure appropriate engagement processes are strictly adhered.

· Working to identify advocates and decision makers within the Payer.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in health policy, public health, business administration, public administration or a related discipline preferred

· Minimum of 5 years Medical Device Industry Health Policy / Strategic Reimbursement experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years Medical Device Health Policy / Strategic Reimbursement experience

· Excellent communication skills including ability to “sell the story”

· Understanding of US healthcare payment systems and healthcare trends

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently out of the Minneapolis office for a remote manager (in California).

· Experience in Medical Device or other related industry market access/health economics experience

· Travel up to 30% (primarily developing KOL’s and attending conferences and trainings)
