Business Development Manager - Janitorial Services
The Business Development Manager of Janitorial Services builds revenue in target Janitorial Services markets by locating, developing, defining, and building business relationships as well as generates new business revenue through existing account services and the development of new prospects. He/she also assists and develops marketing material and advises management on effective marketing strategies. The Business Development Manager of Janitorial Services knows each client’s operating profile, current and potential service requirements, and labor utilization. This person serves as a subject matter expert regarding all aspects of commercial Janitorial contracts and is a key consultant to prospective clients, current clients, executive management, and employees. The Business Development Manager of Janitorial Services determines levels of resources required by prospects, leads the proposal development/submission process, and assists with writing proposals and bids as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
1. Develops an Individual Action Plan for acquiring new business and reaching new business revenue goals in target areas.
Develops strategies for acquiring new business in target areas.
Produces lead reports and documents reflecting the status and outcome of goals. Collaborates with management to develop and revise goals on an ongoing basis.
Systemically identifies prospects within and outside of the US&S network.
Maintains data base of contacts, activity/communication tracking and opportunity/project pipeline.
Develops marketing materials and strategies and works with Senior Management on implementation.
Keeps track of market intelligence in the industry with respect to market development, projects, competitive activity, clients, etc.
Attend community engagement events, trade shows etc. and provide appropriate community and company information when requested, such as contractor pre-qualifications.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
2. Lead the process of acquiring new accounts and other growth strategies.
Notify management of opportunities for new programs/services, introduce appropriate contacts and support proposal and closing process as requested by management.
Evaluate resources and staffing requirements and develop pricing structures, bids, and proposals.
Advise the senior management team about the general background on prospective client’s operations, plans and personnel.
Effectively leverage network and relationships to establish a pipeline of prospects.
Work with the management team to develop proposals that reflect the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
3. Act as a subject matter expert in the operations of commercial Janitorial services.
Consult management, clients, prospective clients, and staff about all matters concerning commercial Janitorial services.
Provide technical expertise, information, and assistance regarding assigned functions; participate in the formulation and development of special projects, policies, procedures, and programs as requested.
4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and prospects.
Represents JSBM favorably to internal and external stakeholders and prospects, developing a pipeline of future referral sources.
5. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of janitorial sales experience with proven track record.
Bachelor’s Degree or requisite experience.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, reliable transportation, and collision insurance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10 years of janitorial sales experience with proven track record
Experience working in Sales Management Systems
Established network in target markets.
Working knowledge of OSHA, bloodborne pathogens and foundations of ergonomic safety principles.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/REQUIREMENTS
Works mostly during normal business hours: 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday but on occasion will be required to work evenings and weekends to perform work-site visits, attend meetings, and perform marketing activities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
